    Mosley football star Lo'Kavion Jackson makes his Division I college commitment

    Mosely defensive back Lo'Kavion Jackson committed to Mississippi State Wednesday via social media post. Jackson chose the Bulldogs over schools such as Miami, Troy, West Virginia and Jacksonville State.

    "The atmosphere and the love the coaches showed me, they treated me like they really wanted me and laid out the red carpet for me," Jackson said.

    The three-star prospect stands at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, a frame capable of competing for a starting role immediately, and his ability to play multiple positions in the secondary.

    "Coaches said they loved how I moved at my size and how versatile I am as an athlete," Jackson said. "They run a 4-2-5 defense with many defensive backs on the field at once so I could be seeing the field as a freshman."

    The senior credits head coach Tommy Joe Whiddon for preparing him both on and off the field, from mastering defensive strategies to learning how to market himself to recruiters..
