    Mosley 53, Bay 15

The game was intense, marked by personal foul penalties and post-whistle altercations, as expected in the county's top rivalry. A scuffle on the Bay sideline during the third quarter resulted in numerous penalty flags, prompting both coaches to gather their teams to defuse the situation.

"We talked about it all week, we knew it was going to be a chippy game and we could not get caught up in the emotions of the game," Mosley coach Tommy Joe Whiddon said. "In a rivalry game it doesn't matter what the records are, people have pride and are going to play hard.".

The Dolphins led 26-15 heading into the half and posted a shutout in the second half. The defense led by edge rusher Raedyn Bruens and linebackers Wyatt Fleming and Sawyer Schultz haunted the Tornadoes offense on consecutive drives.

On offense, Mosley quarterback Sammy Freitas stood out, contributing to four scores—three through the air, two connected with receiver Carson Griffin, and one on the ground. Running back Sammy Chisolm also played a key role, adding three rushing touchdowns, propelling the Dolphins to a 27-point unanswered second half.

"Our game plan the whole week was to run the ball because last week we didn't execute in the run game but we proved it tonight," Chisolm said.

Mosley (2-0) hosts Rickards (2-0) on Sep. 5. Bay (0-2) hosts North Bay Haven (0-1) on Sep. 6.

    Rutherford 21, Blountstown 27 (3OT)

It took three overtime periods to decide the winner between two teams with dynamic offenses. The Rams overcame a 21-14 halftime deficit and tied the game late in the third quarter behind a 3-yard touchdown run from senior lineman Elijah Peace.

Both teams would fail to get into scoring range in the fourth quarter setting up the first overtime period. The scoring woes continued as the Rams and Tigers turned over the ball on each offensive possession, ending the first overtime period.

Rutherford had two opportunities to win the game in the following periods but a blocked and missed field goal left the Rams out of gas. Blountstown ran the ball on three consecutive plays and would cap off the victory with a 1-yard touchdown run from junior running back Taye Dawson.

Rutherford (0-2) travels to Chipley (1-0) on Sep. 6.

    Arnold 47, Hamilton County 14

The Marlins advanced to (2-0) for the first time since 2013 on the back of a second-half shutout and 21-point third quarter. Head coach Jason Griffin credited the offense for leading the charge and putting on a better showing than last week's eight-point performance.

"Our offense executed quite a bit better tonight, cleaned some things up but I still don't think we have hit the surface of what we are capable of," Griffin said. "The defense was a little slow out the gate, but we made adjustments at halftime and had a shutout, so I couldn't be any more prouder of our kids and how hard they have worked.

Arnold (2-0) travel to Bozeman (1-1) on Sep. 6.

    Bozeman 41, Vernon 3

The Bucks got back on track and we're led by senior Lakota Johnson who caught two touchdowns and threw another. Receivers Landon Summers and Mathew Monroe each caught touchdowns in the blowout.

The defense corralled the Yellowjacket's offense stymying dual-threat quarterback Caiden Coltrane.

Bozeman (1-1) hosts Arnold (2-0) on Sep. 6.

North Bay Haven 2, North Florida Christian 10

A defensive battle culminated in the second straight loss for the Buccaneers.

North Bay Haven (0-2) travels to Bay (0-2) on Sep. 6.
