Renters would get some relief, too, under a pair of legislative proposals
LINCOLN — Nebraska renters would get some financial relief in the form of an income tax credit under a pair of proposals to be considered by the Legislature. State Sens. Terrell McKinney of North Omaha and Eliot Bostar of Lincoln each introduced a bill Thursday seeking to compensate renters who otherwise would not automatically reap any direct benefit from property tax reforms being pushed by Gov. Jim Pillen.

Top 150 2025 recruit Quentin Rhymes set to visit Nebraska
A class of 2025 forward is set to visit Lincoln later this year. Small forward Quentin Rhymes revealed he will be visiting Nebraska in September. Rhymes received an offer from the Huskers back in May. The 6-foot-7, 185-pound forward is one of four small forwards in the class of 2025 to earn an offer from Nebraska. He also received offers from TCU and Wichita State throughout the summer. Rhymes stands at No. 136 in the rankings for the class of 2025. He is attending Hillcrest Prep in Phoenix, Arizona, after playing for Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rhymes also plays for the Las Vegas Knicks in the AAU, where he delivered stellar performances throughout the season. Last week against West Virginia Gold, he scored 40 points and landed six 3-pointers. OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Showers and thunderstorms moving through central Nebraska were fading away early Sunday morning, but sending a batch of cloud cover into eastern Nebraska. The clouds will move into the metro mid-morning, and will likely stick around through early afternoon. There is a very slight chance for a spotty shower or storm as the batch of clouds moves in, but most areas will likely stay dry. The clouds will help to keep the more intense heat at bay for another day, with temperatures warming into the mid-80s by Noon, and afternoon highs around 90 degrees.
