Feds okay money for new I-55 bridge from Memphis to Arkansas
The funding is being finalized for a new interstate bridge to be built across the Mississippi River, connecting Memphis and Arkansas. The United States Department of Transportation announced they will provide $394 million to help fund the project. The states of Arkansas and Tennessee will chip in around $250 million each.
Harding’s Clark named GAC’s Female Scholar Athlete of the Year
The Great American Conference named Harding’s Anna Kay Clark as its 2023-24 Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Clark’s recognition gives Harding the GAC Female Scholar Athlete recipients. Former women’s basketball standouts Kristen Celsor and Arielle Saunders won in 2013-14 and 2014-15. She becomes the second women’s track and field student-athlete recognized as the top scholar athlete. East Centra’s Abbie Winchester won in 2019-20.
