Mi Salud Wellness Center, located at 200 E Wyoming Avenue, hosted a family health and wellness event on May 22nd, from 2 pm-5 pm, followed by their regular food distribution. Esperanza’s Housing and Economic Development division participated in the event, helping to host a pop-up clinic alongside Miriam Medical Clinics; the clinic provided COVID-19 vaccines, health communication materials, free COVID-19 testing kits, and health screenings for blood pressure and glucose. Doylestown Gets $4.4 Million Grant to Remove ‘Forever Chemicals’ from Water
DOYLESTOWN, PA—Doylestown Township’s water authority is getting a $4.4 million grant to remove “forever chemicals” from two of its wells. The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority gave the Doylestown Township Municipal Authority a $4,415,435 grant to construct a 45x25 foot facility to remove chemicals like PFAS from two of its wells. The decontamination facility will be located near and connected to Central Well 5.
