GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Showers and thunderstorms are possible on Saturday, then Sunday will be the drier half of the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms have mainly stuck to the mountains Friday afternoon. The mountains will be most favored, but the valleys do become fair game for at least a few showers and thunderstorms this evening after about 6 PM. That’s not to say everyone in the valleys will get rain. In fact, a lot of areas will stay dry. Scattered showers are possible through morning, then Saturday will become dry. Scattered showers and thunderstorms could increase after about 2 PM. The mountains will be more favored again, but the valleys could get some of this rain, especially in the evening. The rain will clear out overnight through Sunday morning, then Sunday will be the drier half of the weekend. Remember the scattered nature of these storms will leave many areas dry.
