Incoming Husker freshman bowler Karina Capron took home the U18 title at the 2024 Junior Gold Championships in Allen Park, Mich., Saturday evening. Capron, the U12 2017 Junior Gold Champion, qualified for match play in sixth after five qualifying rounds. In matches of two games total pinfall, Capron defeated Maggie Smith 427-295, Amanda Lang 394-391 and Melia Mitskavich 395-373 before facing Kaitlyn Stull in a match to decide the placements for the tv show. LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A woman lost nearly $2,000 on Saturday after she gave money to a scammer pretending to be a sergeant with the Lincoln Police Department. A 75-year-old woman reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be “Sgt. Randy Clark” with LPD. The caller told her she had a warrant for her arrest for failing to appear in court and needed to pay $2,400 to avoid jail.
