The Fun Coffee & Donut Trick We Wish We’d Known About Sooner

Coffee and donuts are a classic way to start your day, especially on the weekend. Whether you're a fan of Dunkin or prefer a local donut shop near you, the pairing of the sweet treat and hot (or cold) coffee is iconic. But what if we told you that we just saw a way to make having coffee and donuts even more fun?

Content creator @LORAfied (real name Lora) shared this hack on her Instagram page and people were immediately obsessed with how delicious it looks. Lora calls this a "donut latte" and "the craziest donut hack ever." We just want to call it breakfast!

Lora said that she loves "the combo of donuts & coffee and that little bit of glaze left behind in the cup" when you dunk your doughnut into your coffee.

"Just wait until you try my new little trick!" she wrote in the caption of her Instagram video. "Honestly, I wasn’t sure this was going to work and I think the folks at Dunkin thought I was nuts."

So what is this trick that had the Dunkin' employees raising their eyebrows? Well, it starts with a cream-filled doughnut (Lora said she tried this with vanilla cream, chocolate cream and Boston cream doughnuts). You start by slicing off a small portion of the top of the donut to reveal the filling inside. Next, you spread the cream inside the cut portion of the donut to create a "waterproof" barrier, Lora says.

Once that cream is spread around, pour some of your coffee into the donut bowl you've created and sip your drink. You can also dip the top of the doughnut (the piece you removed) into the coffee.

"To be honest, I wasn't sure it was going to work, but it does and it's so fun," Lora said. "You're gonna love it."

"Takes the yummy donut up a level .. a very yummy level," someone commented on Lora's Instagram video. This does look like a fun, delicious hack, and it's creative.

"Tried it !! So good," someone else chimed in.

"This is a food hack I didn't know I needed in my life. Thank you so much!" another person said. We will be doing this the next time we make a Dunkin' run !
