Ask 10 people for their best scrambled egg tips , and you'll get at least eight different answers. Many home cooks have a tested, trusted method that they go to when they want to whip up some fluffy scrambled eggs , and celebrity chefs are no exception. For example, Ina Garten just shared how she makes scrambled eggs on TikTok via the @foodnetwrk and while the eggs seem easy enough to make, people are torn about them.

According to Ina, she uses around two eggs per person to make sure that the portions are large enough. She cracks all of the eggs, straight from the refrigerator, into a bowl and whisks them together. She adds half and half, instead of milk, because it makes the eggs taste richer. She also adds salt and pepper. So far so good.

the trick to ina’s scrambled eggs? low heat and lots of truffle butter! 🍳

She heats some butter in a skillet on really low heat and then pours the egg mixture into the pan. She says the key to these eggs is allowing them to "warm up really slowly" in the pan for a few minutes before stirring them.

Once they're warmed up, you stir the eggs slowly at first, then you stir them quickly right before you're done cooking them.

"You have to be very patient, and I'm not one for patience," Ina says. "But for this, it's really worth it."

Another tip for making Ina's scrambled eggs is to turn off the heat before they're done cooking so the heat from the pan will keep cooking the eggs for a while longer. Once the heat is off, she adds two tablespoons of cold truffle butter, which stops the eggs from cooking. (If you don't have truffle butter lying around regular butter will also work.)

While all of this sounds delicious, and honestly does look easy to do, some commenters took issue with the runny, wet eggs.

"I'd have to cook them longer, too loose for me," someone commented on the video.

"The only way I eat eggs that raw is in cookie dough," another person said. Others said it was "too runny" or that the eggs needed to cook a few minutes longer.

Other people went so far as to mention Chef Gordon Ramsey, claiming his scrambled eggs are the best out there.

But other commenters were in favor of Ina's eggs. "I've been making them for years and they're so good," said one commenter. Another person added, "I love a soft scramble but completely understand the aversion some may have."

The video even got some international attention. "I'm from France and this is the correct way to cook eggs and they really are delicious."

What's your verdict on soft scrambled eggs? Are they a yes or no in your kitchen?
