As the 2024 Paris Olympics officially ended, Prince William and Princess Kate shared a sweet message to the British athletes—but many couldn't help but get distracted by William's new look.

The two took part in a special video introduced by Snoop Dogg and featuring other British celebrities like David Beckham .

In the clip , Kate said, "From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB," with William going on to say, "Well done on all you've achieved, you've been an inspiration to us all."

While there was a lot in the video to like, with many sharing how happy they were to see Princess Kate, quite a few were charmed by William's new look, as the royal rocked some stubble on the bottom half of his face.

"Catherine 😍 and Prince William with the facial hair 😅 love it 👌🏾," wrote one excited fan, while another reacted, "oh William… ❤️."

One particularly enthusiastic response read, "Pardon me ladies.. I need to cool down. Prince William looks so handsome with a bit of facial stubble 😍😍."

In reply, a different fan said, "William causing a 🔥 right now!!!! 🫠," before adding, "Catherine looking STUNNING."

Another fan said, "Prince William with some scruff, wow.😍," while someone else questioned, "Kate, be honest, the Beard is it staying or going? 🧔‍♂️."

Many more shared their appreciation for the facial hair, leading quite a few to request William "Keep the beard 😉."

William has been seen with a beard sporadically over the years, but he usually stays clean-shaven. Many fans continued to share their wishes that William should change things up and keep the stubble, but it's unclear if he will.

The prince previously rocked a beard back in 2008, but he was reportedly made to shave it once he started training with the Royal Air Force .
