Kathie Lee Gifford Celebrates Her Recovery With 'Incredible' Treat

Kathie Lee Gifford 's recovery couldn't come at a better time.

The Today alum was hospitalized twice this summer, first in June when she underwent hip replacement surgery after seeking medical help for what she told the current hosts of the NBC morning talk show was frequent and "agonizing pain."

Unfortunately, her post-op recovery time was extended, as while she was healing from the planned procedure, she landed in the hospital for an emergent week-long stay following a freak accident at her home in July that left her with a fractured pelvis .

Now, just days before Gifford's 71st birthday on Friday, Aug. 16, she's back at home and in much better spirits as she gets ready to celebrate.

Over the weekend, the media personality shared a new health update and a sweet picture of herself enjoying an "incredible" meal from one of her favorite steakhouses in Nashville. Gifford posed for the casual photo wearing an oatmeal-colored sweater and with a sizeable crab leg in hand. With her blonde wavy hair appearing wind-tossed, she glammed up the smiley pic with a pearly light taupe lip color and a classic brown smokey eye.

"So grateful to my wonderful friends @jeffrubysnashville for sending the most incredible crab legs, steaks and all the fabulous fixings to celebrate my speedy recovery," she wrote in the accompanying caption before extending her gratitude to fans and those in her inner circle.

"And thank you to everyone who has been so faithful to pray for me," she added, concluding, "God bless you all."

Several celebrities joined countless others in rejoicing over Gifford's progress and cheering for her improved health.

"Sending love ❤️❤️❤️," wrote Katie Couric .

"Love and miss you.!!!!" exclaimed fashion designer Dennis Basso , while TV personality Jill Martin praised, "My gorgeous courageous loving fabulous friend 😍."
