We Got a Sneak Peek of the Rice Krispies Treat Suite and It's As Adorable As It Sounds

Remember the feeling of nervously sitting in the cafeteria on the first day of school and opening your lunch box to find that your parents snuck a Rice Krispies Treat in there to make your first day a little bit easier?

Now imagine that feeling as a hotel room and you've got The Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite by Rice Krispies. The bright blue room at the Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA, has fun Krispies touches, like fuzzy lamps that look like they're made of the classic cereal bar, plus fluffy marshmallow-inspired bean bag chairs and pillows.

I recently got a sneak peek of the room—in fact, my family was the first to see it! My four-year-old was instantly charmed and quickly made herself right at home, I lost track of how many Rice Krispies Treats my husband ate and I definitely took some design notes to use in our quirky house (Marshmallow soaps?!? Are you kidding me?).

Later on, when we were on a fun sunset cruise, I asked my daughter if she liked the boat. “I just want to go back to the Rice Krispies room,” she said. She gave that same answer while we were at the pool and beach so it’s safe to say the room is kid-approved.

Where is the Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite Located?

The sweet suite is located in the newly renovated Red Jacket Beach Resort in South Yarmouth, MA. The hotel is located on a private shoreline on the banks of Parker's River and also offers ocean access, making it the perfect summer getaway.

How Many People Can Stay in the Suite?

The suite accommodates up to six guests in one queen bed, one set of twin bunk beds and two rollaway beds. The bunk beds can fit adults (yes I tried) but the bottom bunk is not for those who don't like tight spaces. The top bunk does have a slide that leads into a ball pit so if you’re up there be ready for that. Adults can go down the slide but it’s definitely meant for children who don’t grunt getting out of a ball pit. I cannot speak for the rollaway beds but we did enjoy two nights on a queen bed at the Red Jacket and I slept so well.

How Can You Book the Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite?

You can go online and request to book one of five different two-night, three-day stays at the Re-Treat Suite by Rice Krispies Treats now through the end of August by visiting RiceKrispiesTreatsReTreat.com. Set your alarms!

Bookings will be awarded to a limited number of fans on a first-come, first-served basis and will open on a rolling basis starting Monday, August 12 at 12PM EST. Here are the details per day, so you can make a plan before you log on.

• Monday, August 12 at 12pm ET: August 16-18 open for booking

• Wednesday, August 14 at 12pm ET: August 20-22 open for booking

• Friday, August 16 at 12pm ET: August 23-25 open for booking

Who is the Rice Krispies Re-Treat Suite Best For?

It was definitely designed for a family but I think a bachelorette party would absolutely flourish in this space. Really anyone who wants a taste of nostalgia as summer comes to a close and is ok letting their inner child out would love the room. Just be ready to fight over the bunk beds. As I mentioned, my four-year-old daughter was obsessed with it and didn’t want to leave so it got the approval from her. I think older kids would still have a great time in the suite as many of the activities are for all ages.

What Is There To Do in the Suite?

Everything you would want for a sleepover without the fuss of setting it up. You can have a movie night with a projector and a pillow fort, create your own Rice Krispies Treat flavor, or find all the hidden treats in the scavenger hunt. You can also slide down into a ball pit from a Rice Krispies Treat bed or do yoga or play corn hole on the balcony. Want more options? Create friendship bracelets. Take silly selfies with the photo booth props. Play one of the many games. Or just veg out in one of the cozy areas.

What Is There To Do Outside the Suite?

If you manage to leave the room, The Red Jacket Beach Resort has 3 pools (outdoor, indoor, and kiddie), beachfront property, daily activities (Pirate show! Beach yoga! Glitter tattoos!), plus a bar and restaurant. You can also explore the town of Yarmouth, which has tons of cute shops. We stopped in a few candy stores that were filled with nostalgic treats and there are also several mini golf courses in town, which is a peak summer activity. We went to Pirate’s Cove, which was quirky and a lot of fun. And because you're on the Cape, there are also plenty of cute towns to explore, including Brewster , one of our favorite spots on the Cape.

Does the Suite Come with Rice Krispies treats?

Is water wet? Heck yes! Visitors get to “Taste every flavor of Rice Krispies,” which includes Original, Chocolate, Strawberry, Chocolatey Chip Cookie Dough, Rainbow, Chocolatey Peanut Butter and more. I personally love the homestyle one and maybe stuffed a few in my purse. There are also different size treats in the room, but you might have to search for them using the clues in the scavenger hunt. If you're feeling creative, you can use the fixings bar to customize your treat and create a new flavor. Oh, and there's also Rice Krispies Treat creamer for your coffee.
