In our experience, finding a pair of work pants that check off all of our boxes isn't always easy. Too often we don't end up finding the right style that looks professional enough and feels comfy enough to wear to the office, and end up relying on the few pairs that we already own.
If you've been wearing the same work pants on repeat, expand your wardrobe by picking up this highly-recommended pair from Old Navy . Shoppers say that this "amazing" pant has exceeded their expectations and are obsessed with their high-end aesthetic, which could easily be mistaken for a much more expensive designer style.
Extra High-Waisted Stevie Taper Pants, From $20 (was $40) at Old Navy
Finding pants that are chic, easy to wear, look flattering, and are affordable is no easy feat. But we were lucky enough to find all of these qualities in this Old Navy pair. They're a pull-on style that are made from a thick and stretchy material that reportedly feels like wearing a pair of sweats. (Truly, what's better than that?) Because the material is thicker, shoppers say that they're able to retain their shape beautifully, which helps them look office-appropriate as well.
The pants have an extra-high-waisted fit that we adore, with tapered pant legs that get narrower toward the ankle. What helps them look extra sophisticated are the stitching details on the front of the pant legs, and there are seams on the hips that are meant to mimic front pockets that also add to their high-end vibe.
Those are the same details that we see in designer pants, particularly this pair from Max Mara that we spotted at Bloomingdale's. The two styles look incredibly similar, but if you go with the more exclusive brand name, that pair will wind up costing you at least 21x the price of the Old Navy version.
We actually prefer the Old Navy pants because they have design advantages that the high-end pair don't. The pull-on style makes them easier to throw on, and the high-waisted pair would probably look a lot more flattering on the body than the lower-rise Max Mara one. But above all else, they're much more affordable. Shoppers say that they "cannot believe the value of these pants" and that they're "well made, and professional." What more could we ask for?
