Jennifer Garner's Photos From 'Dream Trip to Japan' Give Fans a 'Serotonin Boost'

Jennifer Garner is giving fans major FOMO (fear of missing out) with her latest vacation photo dump on social media.

The Elektra star, who reprised her superhero role for this summer’s box office hit Deadpool & Wolverine , revealed in a Thursday, Aug. 15 Instagram post that she recently visited Japan. It was a “dream trip,” the mother of three wrote in her caption, which featured “a to do list” including several tips and recommendations for her friends and fans.

The 15-part Instagram carousel kicked off with a photo of the 13 Going on 30 actress enjoying a glass of champagne while sitting on a small boat as the sun set behind her. Garner, 52, then appeared in a video clip showing her rinsing her hands and mouth with water while wearing a loose striped dress.

“Visit every temple and shrine, bow clap pray. But first: purify,” the accompanying tip in her post’s caption advised.

The photos and videos that followed showed gorgeous snapshots of the scenery Garner came across during her visit and views of her posing in restaurants and on busy streets while enjoying her time as a tourist. While most of the content was focused on her experiences around Japan, she also included one image of a poster promoting Deadpool & Wolverine , which this week became the top-grossing R-rated movie in history.

Some of Garner’s Hollywood friends commented on her post to express their approval for the fun vacation photos, including actress Rita Wilson , who wrote, “Wow!”

“The best! ❤️” actor Matt Bomer commented.

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley also weighed in on Garner’s detailed caption, writing, "Oh I love the play by play, thank you! Looks amazing! ❤️👏🏻.”

Several of Garner’s fans also applauded the thoughtful documentation of her trip, with one person noting that her photos “always” provide “a serotonin boost.”
