Target Is Selling a 'Cute' $25 Woven Handbag So Similar to a Designer Brand's Style That's 112x the Price

We’ve reported on designer lookalikes before, sharing how amazing it feels to find something that looks so much like the luxury brand’s version. It’s nice to have pretty things that are affordable because everyone deserves gorgeous products even if they can’t spend $2k on a handbag. And Target has done it again with their designer lookalike mini woven handbag that is nearly identical to a designer handbag that’s 112 times the price.

We’re talking about Target’s Mini Woven Handbag Clutch by their in-house brand, A New Day. It’s new to the store, currently $25 and the cutest little thing. It has a woven design all over the bag (as the name suggests) and an arched handle with a knot on one side. It has an unstructured design too, meaning that it’s a bit slouchy which adds to the aesthetic appeal.

Mini Woven Handbag Clutch - A New Day , $25 at Target

In addition to the main compartment having a zipper, Target’s mini woven clutch also has a zippered pocket inside, if you want to keep some things safe and not rolling around in there. It comes in four colors for now: blue (kind of like a cornflower blue), metallic silver, brown and black. It’s also a mini version of another popular Target bag, the Woven Slouchy Shoulder Handbag , which we reported on previously.

This bag measures 8.5 inches tall, 11.5 inches wide and 3.5 inches deep, making it great for essentials like your phone and wallet (as one reviewer pointed out).

“This bag would be perfect for a casual day out, or dressing up for a night out in the town, it’s very versatile,” they wrote.

And even though it’s soon after its release and so there aren’t a ton of reviews, the ones that are there are pretty positive (and it currently has a 5-star rating). One reviewer wrote that they “love it!” and that’ it’s “such a cute bag!!”

“[The] material is soft, feels durable,” they also wrote. “Will be wearing this out with a casual outfit or date night! I would say this could be a very much cheaper dupe for a Bottega Veneta lol.”

Another person wrote, “[It’s] a yes from me…” noting that it was a “nice weight,” the “perfect size” and the blue was so beautiful, they “ordered all colors.”

And yet another shopper wrote that this was “chic!” and an “awesome dupe for the Bottega Veneta Jodie! All the colors are pretty👌”

Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie Intrecciato Leather Bag , $2,800 at Saks Fifth Avenue

As you can see, just like the bigger shoulder handbag version from Target, this mini woven handbag also looks like a Bottega Veneta bag that’s over 100 times the price. Bottega Veneta’s Mini Jodie Intrecciato Leather Bag is currently $2,800 at Saks Fifth Avenue and is almost identical to Target’s. It has a similar silhouette and design; a slouchy mini bag with an arched handle that has a knot on one side, with a woven design all over. This one is, of course, made with real Italian leather (if the price was any indication), and it has a zippered main compartment. It measures 11 inches wide, 9 inches tall and 3 inches deep, making it nearly the same size as Target’s too.

So if those reviews weren’t enough, seeing how similar Target’s Mini Woven Handbag Clutch is to the Bottega Veneta Mini Jodie bag should seal the deal that it’s worth checking out in person. Because who doesn’t want a bag that could pass as a $2.8k version for $25?
