Aldi Is Selling a Gorgeous $13 Ceramic Pedestal Bowl So Similar to Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel Styles Up to Nearly 7x the Price

Starting a new decorating endeavor can be tricky, especially if it involves a table. Where do you even start? What theme are you going for? Well, one easy place to begin is getting a central item for your table. A neutral centerpiece can go a long way and is versatile in different seasons and aesthetics. Something like Aldi’s new pedestal bowl is a great jumping-off point for decorating a table , shelf or ledge. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is almost identical to Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel and AllModern styles that are up to almost seven times the price.

From August 21-27, Aldi is selling the Huntington Home Pedestal Bowl for $12.99 in the Aldi Finds section of the popular budget grocery store. It’s a pretty simple bowl, with a smooth finish that seems to have a sheen to it but isn’t quite glossy. The bowl is 10 inches in diameter and has a smaller base that lends to the “pedestal” aspect of the style.

Huntington Home Pedestal Bowl , $12.99 at Aldi

It’s made with white or black ceramic, and as Aldi’s site says, you can use this bowl to “add instant style to any room in your home.” As the site also notes, it’s great as a “catchall” bowl, where you can throw your keys or wallet in when you come home, or it can work as a centerpiece for your coffee table or dining room table. If you use it in that capacity, it becomes a great way to display seasonal items as well. There are tons of bowl fillers out there that are either holiday-specific (like pumpkins or pinecones) or just aesthetically pleasing. You can also use it for fruit if that’s how you want to display them.

Orion Handcrafted Terracotta Bowls, Small , $69 at Pottery Barn

As we mentioned before, this Aldi pedestal bowl looks a lot like others out there, including the Orion Handcrafted Terracotta Bowls at Pottery Barn. The small ones are $69 and come in black and white as well. This one has the same diameter as Aldi’s (10 inches) and has a similar sheen to it. These are not made out of ceramic, but instead are handmade with terracotta.

Riki Black Footed Bowl by Leanne Ford , $89.95 at Crate & Barrel

Another similar bowl to Aldi’s is the Riki Black Footed Bowl by Leanne Ford , which is $89.95 at Crate & Barrel. This one is bigger, measuring 14 inches in diameter, and it’s a little more shallow because of that size difference. But the black color is very similar and also made out of terracotta. It is food-safe, which is great if you want to put bread or muffins in it too.

Hico Ceramic Decorative Bowl1 - AllModern , $80 (originally $112) at Wayfair

And lastly, the Hico Ceramic Decorative Bowl 1 by AllModern is also very comparable to Aldi’s pedestal bowl. It’s currently on sale for $80 (it was originally $112) at Wayfair and is so similar to Aldi’s. This one is graphite gray and even though it’s slightly bigger, measuring 13 inches in diameter, it is also made out of ceramic, like Aldi’s.

If you want something versatile for your home or your dining room table, Aldi’s Huntington Home Pedestal Bowl is worth checking out, especially considering the fact that it is so similar to some high-end items elsewhere.
