Preparing the perfect pizza can take a bit of work if you’re not a certified pizzaiolo, and while it may not be an incredibly difficult process, results can tend to vary. For starters, you’ve got to choose the right type of dough, and Google can take you down a rabbit hole that starts at easy homemade pizza dough and ends with a 72-hour cold fermented concoction made with raw local honey and hand-milled organic flour. Once you’ve chosen your carbo-licious base and emerge from the dizzying stupor of learning all about the proper dough hydration percentage, the next—and arguably most important—step is choosing your delicious toppings.

You could go the simple route with simple marinara , basil and fresh mozz , or you could get weird and throw on some sweet corn , ricotta, guanciale and pickles. It’s like the wild wild west out there. Regardless of how you choose to make your pizza or what you like to eat on top of it, though, cooking it to crispy, melty perfection is the real testament to any good pizza pie. Thankfully, you don’t need a giant, blazing-hot pizza oven to get the delicious results you’re after. And if Aldi has anything to say about it, you won’t need an oven at all.

    Ambiano The Everything Pizza Grill

    Aldi

The wallet-friendly supermarket chain continues to deliver outstanding finds and their latest is The Everything Pizza Grill by Ambiano promising perfectly made pizza, flatbreads and more. This ingenious countertop gadget features a 12-inch non-stick top and bottom grill plate to ensure 360°F of even heat distribution and golden brown results.

Additionally, you can adjust the temperature to fit your culinary needs and once you’ve finished using it, the wrap-around makes for easy and effortless storage. Beyond pizzas, you could use this handy item for quesadillas , burgers and maybe even a flapjack or two, although you’ll probably have the best luck turning out Nonna-approved pizzas.

Price wise, this nifty kitchen helper will only set you back $29.99, which is slightly cheaper than a similar offering from Dash that retails at $39.88. Both gadgets seem fairly equally-yoked, save for Dash’s 180-degree hinge capability allowing you to use it as a griddle in a pinch. Although it remains to be seen if Aldi’s offering does the same, it’s hard to argue with saving a little extra cash—especially when you can use it to score some ultra-premium pizza toppings instead.
