Panda Express is Bringing Back a Fan-Favorite Menu Item

Fast food joints everywhere are looking to get attention and drum up business and many are doing that by offering some amazing meal deals . Others, however, know that absence really does make the heart grow fonder. That's why places like McDonald's and Taco Bell are bringing back discontinued menu items to much fanfare, and now another chain restaurant has decided to do the same.

Panda Express is spicing things up by bringing back a fan-favorite item that not everyone got to try the first time around. Last year , the fast-casual restaurant and the hit show Hot Ones collaborated to create Blazing Bourbon Chicken , a limited-time offering that people went wild for. The dish had a kick of spice and it was made using actual hot sauce used on the show.

The dish was a spin on the Southern classic, bourbon chicken. It was made with crispy boneless chicken and fresh vegetables that were tossed in a sweet and spicy bourbon sauce, which was made with Hot Ones Last Dab Apollo hot sauce. Then, everything was topped with sesame seeds for some added crunch. The dish was served with rice, which helped to tone down the heat.

The only problem? Blazing Bourbon Chicken was only available in 50 locations during the regional market test in late 2023-early 2024. But because the dish was such a hit, Panda Express has teamed up with "Hot Ones" to bring back the Blazing Bourbon Chicken and make it available nationwide starting September 4.

If you plan to grab the Blazing Bourbon Chicken, you need to be aware that it is said to be the restaurant’s spiciest dish. If you love all things spicy, this is a must-try! But, you do have to get it while it's here and it may sell out fast.

People were already discussing the return on Reddit , with a number of commenters saying that they haven't been impressed with the various Hot Ones collaborations. However, a few people mentioned that the spicy orange chicken that Panda Express recently released was really good and spicier than they expected, so they would love to try the Blazing Bourbon Chicken, too.
