Costco's Delicious New Bakery Item Has Shoppers Rushing to Grab It

As a former Starbucks shift supervisor (once a partner, always a partner), my typical morning routine—after opening the store and balancing the registers—used to consist of a short, cinnamon brown sugar, flat white topped off with a warm and flaky, cinnamon-laced morning bun. In my humble opinion, the flat white and the morning bun combo was an incredibly underrated fixture on Starbucks's menu, and only those brave enough to venture away from their usual ultra-customized concoctions (looking at you half-caf, no foam, oat milk, PSL with two raw sugars) understand the sophisticated nuance each one can bring to your day.

Beverage choice aside, most of us have never even heard of the glorious pastry known as a morning bun, and if you’re just now entering the chat, allow me to enlighten you.

For starters, a morning bun is the cinnamon roll's flakier, not-as-sweet cousin, and it’s the perfect addition to your morning cup of joe . The morning bun also lacks the cinnamon roll's signature gooey cream cheese icing, but what it lacks in familiarity, it makes up for in flavor. Of course, you don’t just have to take our word for it. If you need further proof, look no further than the admin behind @costcohotfinds , Laura Lamb.

The certified Costco super fan shared a look at the larger-than- life warehouse chain’s latest bakery addition, and fans are saying they’re “So fire 🔥.”

Cinnamon and Sugar Raspberry Morning Buns took center stage in Laura’s Instagram reel, and we can already taste it paired with our daily white chocolate mocha. Each pack features nine sizable buns swirled with raspberry goodness inside and topped with cinnamon sugar. In terms of price, one clamshell will set you back a meager $8.99, which works out to just about $1 per morning bun. Now, that’s a price we can definitely get behind.

When it comes to how to enjoy them best, Laura recommended heating one in the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 350°F, and users in the comments were quick to cosign the tasty method. Raving reviews or not, some shoppers were less than impressed with the delectable new bakery item with a few saying, “Not that good. Suuuper dry :/“

It’s worth mentioning that unlike a soft, pillowy cinnamon roll, morning buns are typically denser and more bread-like than their doughy counterparts. Differences aside, though, morning buns are equally as delicious and we’ll definitely be making our way to Costco to pick up a container for ourselves.
