Antique shopping can require a lot of dedication if you're looking for a particular type of piece — but not everyone has the time to browse for hours on end. Luckily, there are tons of home décor items that embody a vintage aesthetic , and are way easier to find.

The problem? Intricate mid-century pieces can get super pricey, but that's not the case with this beautiful velvet ottoman that we spotted at Target . It looks like it could have been plucked from a high-end antique store, and it's much more affordable than similar designer styles we've seen.

If you're asking yourself what exactly is a "cocktail ottoman," it's essentially a larger ottoman that's designed to act as a coffee table. This one in particular measures 40 inches by 24 inches, and is about 12 inches tall. The lower profile is the perfect height to use near your sofa or couch, and its larger size provides a flatter surface that's perfect for serving trays if you have people over, or are spending a cozy evening binge-watching your latest TV obsession. (Anyone else watching Love Is Blind UK right now?)

What gives this ottoman its elegant flair is the design details and the luxurious material it's upholstered with. We're obsessed with anything velvet, and this piece is no exception. We love the slight sheen the fabric has, and the deep rust orange color is gorgeous. The way that the wooden legs are shaped is another great vintage touch, not to mention the gold accents at the bottom.

All of these details make this cocktail ottoman look super high-end, and while it isn't the most affordable ottoman out there, it's more accessible than this high-end version from Interior Define that's more than double the price.

The two ottomans share so many similar details, and while you have more color options with the designer version, this Target ottoman can get you the same look for a lot less. If you're looking for a "perfect coffee table alternative" that has a "stunning" antique look, shoppers highly recommend getting this cocktail ottoman .
