Fans Express Honest Thoughts About 'Wheel of Fortune's New Set

Ahead of Wheel of Fortune 's official return to screens this fall with Ryan Seacrest stepping in as host, replacing Pat Sajak , fans got their first look at the new set and shared their honest thoughts.

On Aug. 21, George Pennacchio of ABC 7 LA shared a photo on Instagram from the set, posing between Seacrest and Vanna White . The trio posed behind the wheel where contestants usually stand, showing fans a bit of the new design.

Pennacchio captioned it, "Had fun the other day with Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White on the set of 'Wheel of Fortune.' They’re good together and it feels like Ryan has been on the show for years. He’ll make his 'Wheel' hosting debut in a few weeks."

Soon after, the photo was shared with fans on Reddit who reflected on the visual changes.

Fans quickly pointed out differences from previous seasons, with comments like, "The railing looks different, it also doesn't look as soft," and, "I'm not really sure how I feel about all these wheels," likely referring to the props in the background.

One positive response read, "The more I see of this, the more excited I get! I've had many a dream of both Wheel and J! changing to retro-modernish looks."

Another wrote, "I Like The New Wheel!!! 🛞 🎡 🔮😁."

The official Wheel of Fortune account also shared a behind-the-scenes clip showing Seacrest and White taking promotional photos before revealing a quick look at the puzzle board that had fans intrigued.

"If that’s the new puzzle board, it’s gorgeous 😍😍," wrote an appreciative fan, while someone else chimed in, "Ooooh, I see the new puzzle board there! 🙌❤️."

Wheel of Fortune is set to return on Sept. 9, while Sajak will be hosting his final season of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune starting on Oct. 7.
