Kate Middleton Makes First Public Appearance in Over a Month Amid Cancer Battle

As Kate Middleton slowly returns to public life after being diagnosed with cancer, fans of the royal eagerly await any news about her. Recently, Kate stepped out in Scotland for her first public appearance since attending Wimbledon in July.

Princess Kate accompanied her husband, Prince William , as they drove to Crathie Kirk, a church in Aberdeenshire, for a Sunday service on Aug. 25 while staying at Balmoral Castle for the family's annual summer trip.

In photos from Sunday, via The Sun , Kate smiled brightly as she sat beside her husband in the car. She wore a brown plaid coat paired with dangling earrings and a hat with a feather on the side. Meanwhile, William had on a simple yet chic navy suit.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were also in attendance, with both royals featuring some classic plaid in their outfits. Prince Edward was spotted driving to the church as well, with his wife Sophie , son James and Sir Tim Laurence , Princess Anne 's husband, in the car with him.

Kate and William's three children, Prince George , Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis , did not appear to be attending the service with their parents.

This is Kate's first public appearance since she stunned fans in a gorgeous purple dress at Wimbledon in July , with Charlotte by her side. Kate has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, and as a result, she has handed out trophies to the winners since then. Unfortunately, she was unable to for the winner of the women's tournament this year.

In the last month, Kate made one more appearance, although it was through a video message to the athletes from Great Britain competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
