    Is There Going to Be a Season 4 of 'Ted Lasso'? Here's What We Know!

    " Believe " it or not, Ted Lasso might be returning! Over a year after the third season came to a close, Deadline reported that the beloved series, developed by Jason Sudeikis , Bill Lawrence , Joe Kelly and Brendan Hunt , is heading towards a Season 4 greenlight. In the words of Ted himself, it "smells like potential."

    Warner Bros. Television Group's Chairman and CEO Channing Dungey previously revealed to Variety that the door wasn't shut on more Ted Lasso . "I mean, you watched the finale, there’s a little bit of a door that could be kicked back open if need be," Dungey said. "I wouldn’t put the period on the end of that sentence just yet. There is still a lot of love for ‘Ted Lasso.’ And I think that there still is a lot of enthusiasm on the part of Apple for ‘Ted Lasso.'"

    Dungey added, "Should the opportunity arise, we’d be excited to jump back in to making more…. There are always conversations that are ongoing, just nothing that’s official."

    When will Ted Lasso Season 4 premiere?

    We're still waiting for the fourth season to be officially confirmed, but Deadline reported that they've heard if "all elements come together," then production "is eyeing an early 2025 start."

    Who will return for Season 4 of Ted Lasso ?

    The fourth season itself, let alone the cast have been confirmed. However, sources told Deadline that Warner Bros. Television has picked up the options on Hannah Waddingham , Brett Goldstein , and Jeremy Swift .

    Goldstein has previously expressed interest in a fourth season. Speaking to Parade in 2022, the Roy Kent actor said, "Oh, I would love to see 1,000 seasons. I would happily do that show until I die. I'm Richmond 'til I die."

    According to Deadline , "the studio is expected to start reaching out to Ted Lasso cast members with SAG-AFTRA contracts whose options had expired."

    How did Season 3 of Ted Lasso end?

    The third season ended with Ted moving back to America to be with his son Henry, while Coach Beard decided to stay behind in the UK and got married to Jane at Stonehenge. Rebecca had told Ted that if he left, she would also go and sell the club. However, in the end, Rebecca sold 49 percent of the club to fans. Roy became the new manager of AFC Richmond with Coach Beard and Nate working for the team, too. The Season 3 finale also teased a potential spinoff with Keeley showing Rebecca a binder for an AFC Richmond women’s team, which elicited smiles and cheers from the two of them.

    Will Jason Sudeikis return for Season 4 of Ted Lasso ?

    Per Variety , it’s believed that Jason Sudeikis, who played Ted Lasso, "is involved in the revival in some capacity as an executive producer." Deadline noted in its report about the fourth season that the actor and co-creator "is on board for a new installment as the studio would not have proceeded without his consent."

    In 2023, Sudeikis told Deadline that Season 3 was "the end of this story that we wanted to tell," but he was open to spinoffs. The Emmy winner said, "Yeah, I think that we’ve set the table for all sorts of folks…to get to watch the further telling of these stories."
