'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond Jokes She's 'Still Married' to Husband Ladd After Grueling Achievement

Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond's marriage to Ladd has stood the test of time. But could it survive hiking on a grueling trail in Colorado? The Food Network star and her husband of 28 years recently found out.

On Monday, Aug. 26, Ree took to her Instagram Story to share photos of a hiking adventure with Ladd. "Berry Picker is from the devil," she declared in text overlain on a map of the hiking trail.

The challenging 3.3-mile trail up Vail Mountain in Colorado includes 2,224 feet of elevation gain, according to Approachable Outdoors —so Ree's assessment was understandable.

In another shot of Ladd grinning and standing near a map display, Ree wrote, "Why and how are you smiling."

"Not thrilled," she declared in a different picture of herself on the trail during the outing.

Additionally, the husband and wife posed for two selfies, with Ree jokingly captioning both, "Still married."

To celebrate their achievement, Ladd and Ree ate a well-deserved meal consisting of burgers and fries. "This is the Berry Picker reward," she captioned a photo of her spread.

"We're in pain. The end," she concluded alongside a snapshot of Ladd sitting at an outdoor table looking weary.

A bonus photo showed their daughter Alex's golden retriever, George , exiting a creek during their hiking trip. "Look who joined us in Colorado!" Ree wrote.

Thankfully, Ladd and Ree's marriage survived Berry Picker because the couple has plenty to look forward to in the coming months. Alex is expecting their first grandchild , and their other daughter, Paige , recently got engaged .
