Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan Reveals Major Family Update

Congratulations are in order for Billy Corgan !

The 57-year-old Smashing Pumpkins singer and his wife, Chloé Mendel Corgan , 31, are expecting their third child together, as reported by People .

"We are overjoyed to announce that our family is growing!" Chloé said. "It’s an exciting time for us, although unexpected!”

The couple already shares two children, daughter Philomena , 5, and son Augustus , 8.

"On Sunday, we shared the news with our children, Augustus Juppiter and Philomena Clementine. While Augustus was overjoyed, Clementine, the younger of the two, asked if the baby was made already and shed a few tears of concern, which was honestly adorable," Billy told People .

"Now, both kids are beaming, and it makes it so much fun to share the joy of bringing more love into our family. We are truly blessed."

On August 22, the mom and dad shared footage to Instagram from their family's time together this summer as the Smashing Pumpkins toured with Green Day.

"Family first, always. 🖤 In case you’re wondering what backstage is like …Fill your life with the things that matter most," they captioned the post.

Billy and Chloé, who have been together since 2012, tied the knot in September 2023. Billy was previously married to Chris Fabian from 1993 to 1997.
