Fans Have Mixed Reactions to Brand New Bacon Flavor From Hormel: 'Some Things Just Don’t Need To Be Done'

Hormel is bringing home the bacon, with a potentially delicious little twist.

The food brand is mixing two breakfast classics into one with its upcoming Cinnadust Thick Cut Bacon, which takes the sugary sweet flavor from Cinnamon Toast Crunch and dusts it across its classic package of hardwood smoked bacon.

Foodstagrammer Snackolator revealed the new product on social media on Tuesday, Aug. 27, confirming that it was "not a drill" that "Cinnamon Toast Crunch BACON is about to be a real thing."

"Coming soon is new Hormel Black Label bacon featuring the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnadust to give it that amazing salty and sweet flavor," the caption continued, alongside a photo of the product's packaging. "...there's something magical about Cinnadust and putting it on some Hormel bacon?!" he added. "This is going to be amazing."

The user also shared the post Instagram Stories, assuring any doubters, "I know you're all thinking this is fake, but I assure you it's real," but while he may consider this an indication that we're in "the golden age of snacks and food," not everyone was convinced.

"Nahhh this is disrespectful to bacon," one follower boldly declared, while another dramatically commented, "america get worse by the minute."

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god," another wrote, seemingly excited before adding, "No.😂."

"Some things just don’t need to be done😭," someone else said, though they admitted, "Imma still try it tho💀."

"Honestly it’s either going to be amazing or disgusting," another agreed.

Several were confident in the product's success, however, with one simply writing, "I’m ready 👏," and another certain that "This is going to be good!"

"This might work!! I like that idea," another comment read, suggesting a "Breakfast sandwich with cinnamon raisin bread."

"Okay, this rolled inside a cinnamon roll sounds amazing 🤤," another thought.

Unfortunately, there's no word yet on when this is anticipated to hit shelves, but we'll certainly be keeping an eye out!
