Meg Ryan and Rarely-Seen Daughter Daisy Enjoy Mother-Daughter Date in NYC

Meg Ryan has kept her 20-year-old daughter Daisy out of the spotlight for the most part over the years, but the pair were recently spotted spending a leisurely afternoon in New York City together.

In photos obtained by Hello! , Meg and Daisy strolled around SoHo, checking out books at the McNally Jackson Bookstore, then went shopping for clothes in Tribeca.

Both mother and daughter were in casual outfits: a white cotton top with black cargo pants for Meg and a butterfly-printed button-down top with jeans for Daisy.

The When Harry Met Sally star welcomed Daisy after her divorce from actor Dennis Quaid in 2001, with whom she also shares son Jack Quaid , 32.

In 2023, Meg opened up to Glamour about the "magic" of her relationship with Daisy and how it inspired an adoption storyline in her rom-com What Happens Later, co-starring David Duchovny .

"I put that in there because my daughter is my daughter," she said. "I’m convinced of magic because of our relationship. We were destined."

However, it's unlikely Daisy has seen it. While the two love to watch classic movies together—such as The Philadelphia Story, Bringing Up Baby , and It’s a Wonderful Life— they don't usually screen any of Meg's past films.

“I think she’s seen one. She’s blissfully unaware of all of it,” the actress said.

Earlier this summer, Meg and Daisy were spotted in the crowd together at Taylor Swift's Wembley Stadium Eras Tour performance. Meg shared a photo to Instagram of two people holding hands, their arms decorated with stacks of friendship bracelets.

"Last night at Wembley… WOW," Meg captioned her post. "Thank you, @taylorswift. You’re the hands down the Queen!"
