Tennis Player Melts Hearts While Meeting Her 'Mini-Me' in US Open Video

Tennis player Aryna Sabelenka isn't just killing it on the tennis court, she's also "inspiring the next generation" of women athletes in the process.

During the 2024 US Open, adorable video footage shared by the official Instagram account of the sports competition showed a sweet exchange between the Belarusian pro player and a young fan.

In the clip, she can be seen picking the little one out of the crowd after noticing she was dressed in the exact same lilac Nike dress as her. And that's not all—the child even toted a massive tattoo on the inside of her arm, just like the athlete.

After snapping a few photos together—a moment commentators called the "union of souls"—the tot made sure to retrieve her jumbo hot pink tennis ball from her parents, who were positioned just behind her, in order to get it signed by the sports star.

"Made our day seeing this 🥹 🐯," the official account of the Australian Open penned, as the Barbie Instagram page chimed in to commend her on "inspiring the next generation 🥰."

"Neither will forget this 🥹," someone else reacted to the heartwarming upload.

The US Open began on Aug. 26, 2024, and will run through Sept. 8. Matches air on ABC and ESPN, and stream on some major platforms like Sling TV and Hulu + Live TV.
