Chris Stapleton ’s fans are seriously struggling with their emotions after watching the new music video for his song “Think I’m in Love With You.”

The country singer and guitarist unveiled the video in full on YouTube and teased a clip from the project on Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 29. The song that inspired the video was written by Stapleton, 46, and included on his 2023 album Higher .

The video began with a view of an elderly gentleman surrounded by family while on his deathbed. As he passed on, the man started to dance—though his family couldn’t see him doing so—as he realized that his death meant he would be able to reunite with the love of his life, who died a couple of years before him. The touching video showed the two dancing together once they were free to exist in the same space again.

In the first few hours after its release, the video amassed hundreds of comments on social media as the 10-time Grammy Award winner’s fans praised his creativity and melted over the music video’s message of undying love.

“Omgggg I cried like a baby! 😅 This is BRILLANT❤️❤️❤️🔥,” one fan wrote as another admitted the video “had me ugly crying.”

“Chris I felt EVERY emotion with this music video! It was incredibly done. Thank you ❤️🔥,” one person praised the singer.

Some fans wrote in to share that the characters in the video reminded them of their own grandparents’ love stories. Others wished they could someday be similarly lucky, with one writing, “Hope we all get to see our loved ones again, somewhere out there ♥️.”

Fans’ overall consensus seemed to be that the video was “Perfection,” with one Instagram user rating it a “10/10 😍👏🏼.”

While one fan said they “felt every emotion” as they watched the video, another admitted to experiencing a “Goosebump overload!!”

With Thursday’s release, Stapleton has unveiled the “Video of the year,” another fan declared.
