Even though it’s still stiflingly hot outside, September is knocking on the door. And those of us who love fall are eager to answer. Even though we can’t go full fall sweater mode right now, there are ways to start incorporating that cozy nature into our wardrobe. And Target’s cable-knit mock neck sweater tank top is a great option—not only does it have good reviews so far, but it also looks like an Anthropologie style nearly four times the price.

Target is selling the Women's Cable Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater by their in-house brand, A New Day, for $22. Target calls this fall-transitional top a “sleeveless sweater,” which is essentially just a sweater tank with a cable-knit design. Despite being sweater material, the site also notes that it’s a “lightweight fabric blend with spandex,” so hopefully it’s not too hot on those warmer days. Its fabric is made with 76% recycled polyester, 21% acrylic and 3% spandex.

Women's Cable Mock Turtleneck Pullover Sweater - A New Day , $22 at Target

A major style plus for this tank is the fact that it has a “mock turtleneck,” meaning it has a shorter turtleneck design. It covers your neck so that it’s noticeable (hence the style points) but it’s also not a bulky turtleneck design. The body of the sweater tank is cable-knit, as we mentioned before, and the mock neck and hem are smooth, making them stand out a bit more. This top is also mid-length and fitted, so people who aren’t fans of cropped tops don’t have to worry about this one.

Anthropologie’s sweater tank has a distinct turtleneck and isn’t cropped. Even though it doesn’t have a cable-knit design, it is ribbed and has a similar overall vibe. This one has fabric made with 77% cotton and 23% polyamide.
