Jason Duggar Announces Engagement to Fiancée Maddie Grace in New Photos

Another Duggar wedding is on the way! Former Counting On star Jason Duggar — Michelle and Jim Bob 's 12th-born child—is officially engaged to a woman named Maddie Grace .

On Friday, Aug. 30, Jason, 24, and Maddie shared a joint Instagram post with their photographer announcing the engagement.

"On 8/24, Jase asked me to marry him, and I could not be more excited!!" they wrote in the caption. "Thank you @kaylajohnsonphoto_ for capturing this special moment so beautifully 🫶🏼 #spring2025 ."

The main image showed the newly-engaged couple standing at a beach while lovingly gazing into each other's eyes. Maddie strategically placed her hand on Jason's chest to show off her ring as they were surrounded by candles and flowers. Behind them stood a massive floral structure shaped like a heart and a sign that read, "Will you marry me?"

In other shots, Jason and Maddie hugged or held hands, with one snap showing him down on one knee. "She said yes!!❤️💍," Jason declared in the comments.

Family members, friends and fans reacted to the big news in the comments. Carlin Bates , a family friend of the Duggars, wrote, "All the roses 😍 congratulations you two ❤️."

Jason's cousin, Amy Duggar King , exclaimed, "Congratulations Jason!"

One fan pointed out, "That’s no side hug 🤣," while another echoed, "Thought they could only do side hugs guess that's for only the girls."

Jason hinted he was courting someone in May. He shared a white heart emoji alongside three Instagram photos of himself with a mystery woman at the beach.

Following that relationship soft launch, Jason declared via Instagram , "celebrating the 4th with my girl 🇺🇸," next to sweet snaps of himself and Maddie (including her face).

Now that Jason and Maddie are officially engaged, perhaps the former 19 Kids and Counting star will share even more about his fiancée.
