    Through thick and thin.

Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are marking 10 years of marriage—but like any relationship, the road hasn't always been easy.

While commemorating the milestone anniversary of their 2014 nuptials , the couple hosted a celebration with all of their loved ones, reiterating for everyone what has made their relationship stand the test of time.

As seen in a joint Instagram post with footage from the reception, the former NBA star stood on a balcony to make a heartfelt speech about his marriage to Union, 51, admitting  that "year nine was so hard for us."

"So we were sitting up here and we were kind of reminiscing how we got to even here," Wade, 42, added, before turning to the Bring It On actress to say, "Thank you for being there to show me all of the things I forget along the way."

He continued, "Thank you for continuing to show me that you ain’t going nowhere. That you’re willing to love me through shortcomings I’ve had and the moments of growth that I have. So, thank you for teaching me, thank you for believing in me.”

Union also gave a speech of her own, telling her hubby, "What you just said means everything."

“As you guys all know we’ve been on this path for a long, long time," she continued. "And the path has been long and beautiful and has taken twists and turns and at every turn, you guys have been there. You’ve always put us back on the path.”

Wade and Union—who share a 5-year-old daughter, Kaavia —also penned an emotional message about their lasting love story in their caption on Instagram, which referred to their marriage as "a very long, very fun, very loving, never ending sleepover with my homie, lover, partner, and best friend."

"Through sickness and health, crisis and celebrations, through bad golf days and flubbed lines and new adventures...We stand united and we thrive," they added while concluding the post, "10 toes down, 10 years in, forever to go."
