Fans Are Hyped for Krispy Kreme’s Special Collab ‘for the Girls’

Krispy Kreme is gearing up for yet another special collaboration —and fans are getting seriously hyped up for this one.

In recognition of the Barbie doll’s milestone birthday, the doughnut company has created a handful of treats designed to celebrate the iconic toy, which turned 65 earlier this year. Food blogger Markie Devo previewed the four new items on Instagram on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The Barbie Sweet 65th is expected to be an original Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing with pastel-colored sprinkles, while the Barbie Pink Doughnut is also slated to be a glazed doughnut topped with pink frosting, pink sugar and a special sugar plaque styled to look like Barbie sunglasses.

The other two items are expected to come as filled doughnuts: the Barbie Berries ’N Kreme will feature a strawberry filling with frosting and a chocolate heart added to the top for decoration, while the Malibu Dream Party doughnut will be filled with cookie butter and decorated with cookie crumbs to look like sand, which will cover the bottom portion of the treat while a Barbie Malibu House sugar plaque balances on top.

The news excited many Krispy Kreme fans on social media, one of whom applauded the bakery company’s anticipated release of new treats “for the girls!!”

“Gon’ take this back to the mojo dojo casa house,” one fan wrote, referencing the home Ken transformed Barbie’s Dreamhouse into in the 2023 Barbie blockbuster.

“These are iconic, the filled ones sound great 💖,” an Instagram user commented as another agreed that the filled doughnuts were “calling my name.”

While one fan dubbed the treats “Cute 🥺,” a different Instagram user declared they “Definitely Wanna Try 😋” them.

“This is amazing and incredible Barbie donuts 🍩,” one fan gushed.

The Barbie-themed doughnuts are expected to be sold in packs of six at some grocery stores, though specific details regarding where and when the packs will be available were not confirmed at the time of the food blogger’s Aug. 31 post. The new treats are reportedly expected to drop in early September.
