Walmart's Best-Selling $19 Suede Clog Slippers Are So Similar to an UGG Style Almost 6x the Price and Shoppers Call Them 'So Comfy'

Gone are the days when you had just to wear cozy shoes inside the house. Now there are “ slippers ” that are comfy and cute enough to wear outside as you run errands or to keep your feet warm after a game or workout session. Shoes like Walmart’s best-selling suede platform clogs are perfect for moments like these. And even though they’re called slippers, the tough bottoms make them great for everyday wear (the slipper part is definitely because they’re so comfortable and warm). Plus they look a lot like a popular UGG shoe that’s almost six times the price of Walmart’s.

Walmart’s Joyspun Women's Suede Platform Clog Slippers are only $18.98 and look like the epitome of comfort at first glance. They have a platform outsole, as the name suggests, and they have a basic slip-on clog design. The whole inside is covered with plush faux fur and it continues onto the trim on the upper part of the clog too. The outside of the upper portion of the clog has “genuine suede” that matches the color of the platform sole in most of the colors (not oatmeal and pink).

Joyspun Women's Suede Platform Clog Slippers , $18.98 at Walmart

Speaking of, this shoe comes in seven different colors: chestnut, lavender, black, oatmeal, pink, red and teal. And while we mentioned already that most of the outsoles match the color of the upper part, the fur also changes colors to match. As you can imagine, not all colors and sizes are available in-store, but most seem available to ship.

These suede platform clogs are deemed a “best-seller” on Walmart’s website, with 4.5 stars based on 736 ratings and reviews. And the shoppers that really love these shoes really seem to love these shoes.

"Absolutely love the look of these slippers, exactly as pictured!” one person wrote in their review. “They are a great deal compared to other brands. I've had them for a few months and they're still so comfortable!"

Another person wrote that they were “super cute” and one more shopper said they were "warm and soft and comfy!!"

"I love clog-style slippers and shoes, and these are now one of my favorites,” they wrote. “They are warm and soft and oh so comfy. The thick sole is nice as well and will be perfect for having to run out to the car in the middle of winter to get something you forgot. The lining will be great for keeping my feet warm on those cold winter nights. I just wish it was still winter so I could wear them more but, alas, I'll have to wait."

Women's Disquette Slipper , $110 at UGG

Of course, as we mentioned before, these Walmart slippers look so much like UGGs that even people in the reviews pointed it out.

"Fav Fake Uggs," one shopper wrote in their review. "I hate the price of real Uggs [and] I am always looking for a dupe, and [these] platform slippers are so cute. the lighter colors are quick to dirty but nothing a toothbrush can't handle"

Specifically, these Walmart slippers are nearly identical to UGG’s Women's Disquette Slipper . They’re currently $110 and they come in four colors: chestnut, sand, black and charcoal. The fur on these is a bit more tame and shorter, but other than that, the design and look are very similar to Walmart’s suede platform clog slippers. These, of course, have the UGG logo on the side and they have a seam in the middle of the upper portion. And with the price of them, you can guess (or maybe you knew) that they’re made with sheepskin, suede and real sheep or lamb fur.

Again, with how expensive they are, the real fur and the overall quality of materials used, a $19 Walmart shoe is not going to feel exactly the same. But in terms of looks (and overall customer satisfaction), Walmart’s Joyspun Women's Suede Platform Clog Slippers are worth considering if you are in the market for new clog slippers.
