Badabababa—fans are already ‘lovin’ the McFlurry’s new makeover!
If you’ve ever craved a McFlurry but found yourself wanting a smaller size, you’re in luck, because McDonald’s is launching a “mini McFlurry.”
Customers won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the smaller size, as according to Instagram foodie account Markie_Devo, it will be available starting September 10.
“The NEW Mini McFlurry is a mini serving of everyone’s favorite sweet treat. Got a friend who always wants 'just a bite'? Instead of grabbing an extra spoon, you can grab them a Mini McFlurry of their own. Or maybe you’re looking for a quick afternoon pick-me-up... the Mini McFlurry is perfect for you, too,” the caption of the post noted.
And that’s not all that fans of the Golden Arches have to look forward to, as the McFlurry will also be offered in sustainable packaging, which is said to highlight McDonald’s commitment to “phase out plastic McFlurry cup lids.”
“The packaging is environmentally friendly with a four-flap cup, which will help reduce waste and advance the overall goal of sourcing 100% of primary guest packaging from renewable, recycled or certified materials by the end of 2025,” the description read.

Many fans pointed out that the move aligns with “what the rest of the planet has been doing for a while,” as plenty of international locations have already implemented sustainable packaging.
“Wow finally comin stateside,” someone stated, as another echoed, “We’ve had these in the UK for about 5/6 years now!”
"I’m excited to get this McFlurry cup right here," a third customer added.
Others were skeptical of the mini rollout, noting, ”If only the ice cream machines worked,” “How about upgrading the machines?!” and, “i’ll never see them because the ice cream machine is permanently broken.”
A handful thought the mini looked “adorable” and compared it to the “snack size” option that previously existed.
And then there was that one person who fueled conspiracy theories by noting, “Maybe I’m too cynical but i suspect this is an opportunity for them to increase the price of the 'big' McFlurry."
Most recently, McDonald’s caused another stir by announcing the Chicken Big Mac —which was insanely popular in the UK and Australia—will be making its way to the US later this year.
