Chicken nuggets are classic fast food comfort food . We've been known to try our hand at elevating the dish by making the kid-friendly dinner at home, but we recently ran across some chicken nuggets on our TikTok FYP that really take the humble chicken bites to new heights.

The $100 chicken nuggets being served at this year's U.S. Open recently popped up on @foodnetwork 's TikTok account and they caused quite a stir. Some commenters said that they'd buy them, while others said that despite how they're made or how luxe the toppings are, that's too much dough to drop on something you can get at the McDonald's drive-thru.

We understand the sentiment, but these nuggets definitely aren't like anything you'll find at a fast food joint. They're from COQODAQ , New York City's viral Korean fried chicken restaurant from the owners of the Michelin-starred Cote Korean Steakhouse .

COQODAQ’s food stand served the gluten-free chicken nuggets, which were accompanied by honey mustard, creamy cilantro, creamy peppercorn parmesan and American BBQ sauce spiked with Korean gochujang. These classic nuggets were just $26 for a six-piece box.

But diners who wanted to get a little fancier could opt for one of the $100 options. The 24K Nugget Box came with six nuggets topped with crème fraîche and Petrossian's Golden Daurenki caviar. If you're a truffle fan, you could opt for the Black Gold box, which included six nuggets garnished with seasonal truffles from Solex Fine Foods. Those fancy toppings really add up!

Food Network asked its fans if they'd buy these.

"That is absolutely crazy, you should get at least 20 nuggets," someone commented on the TikTok video.

Someone else said they'd buy the $100 nuggets "in a heartbeat" while another person they would not buy them, but they'd try them if someone else bought them.

"I said yes so quick," another person chimed in.

A few people said they did buy these.

"I did and they were glorious," one person said and another added that "the black and gold ones were unreal."

Others pointed out that a nice meal for two would cost nearly $200 these days, so getting a one-of-a-kind creation like these nuggets would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and "well worth" the money spent.

Would you splurge on these fancy nuggets?
