Candace Cameron Bure Pens Emotional Tribute After Major Family Loss: ‘Forever in Our Hearts'

Candace Cameron Bure and her family are mourning a heartbreaking loss this week following the death of husband Valeri Bure's father Vladimir Bure .

The Full House alum took to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 5 to announce the devastating loss, where she penned an emotional tribute alongside a series of photos featuring her late father-in-law.

"Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Val’s dad Vladimir Bure," she began. "I loved this man so very much."

She continued, "To me, he represented not only the gift of life (my husband) that I am forever grateful for, but one of strength, dedication, motivation, resilience, willpower and love. In my mind, he was the epitome of each of those words, a little bit super human in some way."

She went on to detail his impressive athletic achievements, including as a four-time Olympic medalist in swimming and two-time Stanley Cup-winning coach for the New Jersey Devils. In addition to being a "dedicated coach," he was "a proud father, grandfather, [and] husband."

"Most of all, I know how much he loved his family. Thank you for praying for all of the Bure family as we grieve ❤️‍🩹💔🙏🏻," she concluded. "We love you Vladimir ♥️ and you’ll forever be in our hearts."

Tons of fans sent their condolences to the actress and her family, with one writing, "Oh I am so very sorry for your loss. Keeping you all in our prayers 💜🙏🏼."

"My condolences upon your loss!" said another. "How wonderful to have had such a close and living relationship with your father-in-law. So special and I know that grief runs deep. 🙏❤️🙏."
