It's time to start doing some fall baking ! If you've been waiting all year to dive into cookies , cupcakes , brownies and breads , now's your time to shine. But you don't have to rely on your oven to do all the heavy lifting. Instead, put your air fryer to work.

Yes, you can bake in an air fryer ! Air fryers function like small convection ovens, so they can be used to bake a variety of items as long as you follow a few tips. For one, you'll need to reduce the temperature by about 25°F compared to a regular oven because air fryers heat up quickly and cook hotter than a conventional oven. Baking times will likely be shorter, and you don't always need to use a pan (it all depends on the recipe).

Content creator @fooddolls just shared a great air fryer banana bread recipe on TikTok and it looks almost too easy to be true. We can't wait to make this treat for our next brunch .

Someone in the comments said they made this recipe and they broke down the ingredients for us. What a hero! According to them, you'll need two cups of milk, one cup of quick oats, three bananas, 1/4 cup brown sugar, one egg, one tablespoon of baking soda, one tablespoon of vanilla and a handful (or two) of chocolate chips. The creators also added some cinnamon.

Add everything except the chocolate chips to the air fryer basket and mash the bananas, then stir all of the ingredients until they're well mixed. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the mixture and put the basket back into the air fryer. Cook at 350° for about 18 minutes. When it's done, you'll have a warm, soft bread that is perfect for a crisp fall morning.

In the comments, several people said their air fryers had holes in the basket, so if you have one of those models, you'll need to line the basket with parchment paper to keep the batter from dripping out the holes. You can also use find baking pans that are made for air fryers if you'd prefer to do that. Other people were concerned that using a fork to mash the bananas would scratch the air fryer, so if that's a concern for you, use a wooden or silicone spatula.

Aside from those concerns, people agreed that this banana bread looked "delicious" and we have to agree! This is one recipe we will be trying ASAP.
