McDonald's New 'Crazy Collab' and Limited-Edition Menu Items Has Fans Beside Themselves: 'You're Joking, Right?'

McDonald's latest collaboration is stirring up some next-level excitement from fans.

In the fast food restaurant's latest quest for a magical new partnership, McDonald's has officially announced an exclusive collab with the popular video game Genshin Impact, offering travelers limited-edition menu items with packaging designs inspired by the game.

McDonald's announced the news this week, letting fans know that they will soon be able to purchase the Genshin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal or the Genshin Impact Apple Pie to earn in-game items like Primogems and custom Namecards.

When McDonald's fans order the Genshin Impact Apple Pie in the app, they will receive a classic McDonald's Apple Pie, but the sweet treat will come in exclusively-designed, limited-edition packaging featuring two popular characters from Genshin Impact: Kaedehara Kazuha and Beidou.

Plus, they will also be rewarded with in-game items including 40 Primogems, 20,000 Mora, 3 exclusive Golden Apple Pastries and more. They will also receive a Golden Apple Pastry Recipe, which can "enhance players’ combat strengths during their adventures in Teyvat," according to Instagram food news expert, @markie_devo , who shared the exciting news with gamers and McDonald's fans earlier this week.

Travelers can also opt for the Gershin Impact Deluxe McCrispy Meal, which includes a Deluxe McCrispy, fries, the limited-edition Apple Pie and a drink.

By purchasing it through the McDonald's app, customers  can earn more in-game items, like the "Wings of Delicacies" Wind Glider and the exclusive "Celebration: Crispy and Sweet" Namecard.

After seeing the news online, fans practically couldn't believe their eyes over the unexpected collaboration. One user on X (formerly Twitter) seemed to be pleasantly surprised by the unlikely partnership, writing online, "what a time to be alive."

"😮‍💨McDonalds has had come crazy collabs," someone else wrote on Instagram.

"You're joking, Right?" another added in disbelief.

But even if Genshin Impact takes place in a mythical world, the new McDonald's collab is definitely real-life. Fans will be able to seek this in-app exclusive offer beginning Tuesday, Sept. 17.
