Jeremy Renner Shares Footage of Dangerous Wildfires After Being Forced to Evacuate His Home

Jeremy Renner , whom many know from his role as Hawkeye in the Avengers films and Mayor of Kingstown , is facing another major ordeal as he evacuates his home due to the ongoing wildfires in the West.

He is keeping fans updated through posts on social media, sharing footage of the fires and photos letting people know what's going on.

On Sept. 10, Renner shared a clip showing a plane flying overhead through the smoky air as he looked on from a safe area away, writing, "Fire Fighters working 24/7 in Reno, NV. #davisfirefighters."

While it wasn't doing so in the video, large planes such as this one are being used to drop flame retardant over the fire, while firefighters are also using helicopters and other aircraft to drop water on the flames.

Fans shared concern for the actor and others affected by the fire in the comments, as one wrote, "😢 Wow, heroes at work! 👏👏Hope everyone will stay safe!! ❤️."

"Hope your house is okay! Sending prayers for the families and firefighters," said another, while a third replied, "Those guys are the real super heroes. Stay safe."

In updates to his Instagram Stories, via Entertainment Tonight , Renner shared other photos of the fire in Reno, Nev., and beyond, writing in different posts, "Fire support working hard to protect our community," "When the wind shifts It's either really good or really bad," and "Evacuated."

He confirmed that he and his family were evacuated and safe, while many more are in the process of evacuating as the fire spreads.

The fire is on its sixth day as of Thursday, Sept. 12, and around 37 percent contained, as reported by Reno Gazette Journal . Thankfully, the winds were predicted to be lighter on Thursday, with NWS meteorologist Mark Deutschendorf telling the publication, "Today should have more good news than bad."

Renner's evacuation from his home due to the spreading wildfire comes over a year and a half after his life-threatening snowplow accident at the start of 2023.
