Leggings are the ultimate lounge pants. Depending on the style or brand, they usually look a little more put together than sweatpants but are infinitely more comfortable than jeans. And while some brands are worth the expensive price tag, sometimes you just want leggings that do their job and don’t cost an arm and a leg. That’s where Aldi’s new leggings come in; they’re cute and look like Athleta and Spanx styles that are 13 times the price.

From Sept. 18 to Sept. 24, Aldi is selling Serra Ladies Flared Leggings for only $9.99 in their Aldi Find aisle while supplies last. They’re basic leggings that are all made with 95% viscose and 5% spandex fabric, but they come in three styles and fabric choices. There’s Black Jersey Flare, Gray Rib Flare and Blue Rib Flare—with a fitted leg option as well in Gray Jersey.

The black jersey flare is made with jersey fabric and has a crossover waistband (which is very in right now). It also comes in sizes S-XL. The gray rib flare has a ribbed fabric, a straight waistband and a slit on the side of the flared ankle. These come in sizes M-XL and look like a blackish gray. The blue rib flare has ribbed fabric, a straight waistband and slits at the flared ankles too. This one comes in sizes M-L.
And lastly, the gray jersey legging is straight-legged with a straight waistband and no slits. This comes in sizes L-XL.

    Athleta

As we mentioned above, some of the styles available at Aldi starting Sept. 18 look like styles from high-end brands like Athleta. Their Elation Ultra High Rise Split Flare Pants are $99 and feature a straight waistband and a slit at the flared ankles, but at the front not the side. They come in the colors black and black sand (gray-black) and are made with nylon and lycra. These pants also come in sizes XXS-3X and regular, tall and petite inseams.

Slim Flare Pant with Front Slit, SPANX AirEssentials , $128 at Spanx

    Spanx

Spanx also has their Slim Flare Pant with Front Slit , which is part of their SPANX AirEssentials line. They’re $128 and come in one color, “very black.” They’re high-waisted, like all the leggings here, have a straight waistband and a slit in the front of the flared ankle. They are a “lightweight spacer fabric with 4-way stretch” and made with 47% modal, 46% polyester and 7% elastane.

Since Aldi’s leggings are all pretty classic designs, you’ll find other products that they look like too. Take Aerie—American Eagle’s activewear and intimates brand—and their OFFLINE High Waisted Crossover Flare Leggings . They have that fun crossover waistband, are flared and cost $32.97 (which is a decently affordable price, but still quite a bit more expensive than Aldi’s). So if you want a pair of leggings that look good and are less than $10, Aldi’s Serra Ladies High Waisted or Flared Legging are worth checking out.
