Burger King 's menu is basically tripling in creativity (and flavor) thanks to a new campaign centered around its iconic Whopper.
In February, the beloved burger joint announced that it would be taking submissions from loyal customers to help make their "dream Whopper sandwich" a reality–and themselves $1 million richer, should they win the Million Dollar Whopper contest.
Months later, as the fast food giant inches closer to announcing its blue ribbon prize winner, the company boiled it down to three final contestants, and now it's asking the public for their input–but not without trying the new sandwiches first.
Beginning later this fall , customers at participating BK locations nationwide can enjoy all-new variations of the burger developed by three fans spread out across the country.
- Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper (Created by Fabian of California): The Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper features ¼ lb.*** flame -grilled beef patty, topped with pickle ranch, lettuce, fried pickles, bacon, and Swiss cheese – all on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper (Created by Calvin of California): The Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper features ¼ lb.*** flame-grilled beef patty, topped with maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions & jalapeños, maple bacon seasoning, bacon, and American cheese – all on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- Mexican Street Corn Whopper (Created by Kelsie of Nebraska): The Mexican Street Corn Whopper features ¼ lb.*** flame-grilled beef patty, topped with street corn spread, lettuce, tomato, Southwest seasoned tortilla crisps, and Mexican spicy queso – all on a toasted sesame seed bun.

Based on fan reactions to the news, we're guessing the competition is going to be very fierce.
"Gonna be all over that fried pickle whopper 😋," one confessed in response to food blogger Markie_devo 's Instagram post.
"MAPLE BOURBON FTW," another declared, with several others also drooling over the choice. "That maple one 🤤," someone else wrote.
"Need that Mexican street corn whopper," a fourth admitted.
"All 3 of these seem really good," a different fan suggested before another similarly chimed in with, "Niceeeeeeee I shall try all 3."
"Now this is new burger flavors!!!!" someone else celebrated. "Way to go BK!"
"The Million Dollar Whopper Contest was all about taking ' Have It Your Way ' to the next level, and we were blown away by the thought and creativity that went into the Whopper creations that were submitted," said Pat O'Toole , CMO of Burger King North America in a Sept. 16 statement . "Selecting just three finalists was no easy task, but we're confident Guests will love these creative delicious takes on the iconic Whopper sandwich, and can't wait for them to be available in restaurants this fall."
Additional details regarding the availability of the three Million Dollar Whopper sandwiches and how fans can help crown the jackpot prize winner will be available in mid-November, per the news release.
