    Travis Kelce’s Co-Star Nicholas Chavez Shares Bold Opinion on the NFL Pro's Acting Skills

    Nicholas Chavez is giving fans the low-down on working with Travis Kelce and what he thinks of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's abilities as an actor.

    Chavez–who is best known for portraying Spencer Cassadine in over 350 episodes of the long-running ABC soap General Hospital –and Kelce co-star in the upcoming horror series Grotesquerie , created by Ryan Murphy , Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken for FX.

    When asked about working with the 34-year-old NFL star on the new show, Chavez told People that it was quite the experience and he "really enjoyed getting to know" the football pro on set, adding, "He's a friendly and cool guy."

    As for Kelce's dream of being an actor , well, his castmate seems to believe he's more than capable of making it a reality, telling the outlet that the New Heights podcaster "handled the material like a pro. He’s awesome."

    "He has such an exciting character in this show, and I think that people should be looking forward to seeing Travis shine because guy's a star," Chavez added.

    Along with the 25-year-old actor and the three-time Super Bowl champ, Grotesquerie also stars Niecy Nash-Betts , Courtney B. Vance , Lesley Manville , Micaela Diamond and Raven Goodwin .

    According to the network's official synopsis , the 10-episode drama series follows a small town detective (Nash-Betts) as she strings together clues following a series of heinous crimes while simultaneously battling her own inner demons, navigating life with a husband in need of long-term hospital care and managing her strained relationship with her daughter.

    Grotesquerie is set to debut on FX on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. It will be available to stream the next day on Hulu and available internationally via Disney+ at a later date, per Variety .
