Fans Jump to Defend Jason Momoa as He's Accused of Mistreating Crew, Creating Bad Work Environment

Actress and YouTube streamer Valkyrae , whose real name is Rachell Hofstetter , shared a controversial allegation about actor Jason Momoa , claiming that she "saw him mistreat some of the crew."

Valkyrae was recently interviewed by YouTuber JasonTheWeen , whose real name is Jason Nguyen , where she was asked about her "worst celebrity or streamer experience."

She was unafraid to answer the question honestly, explaining that she has a cameo in the upcoming A Minecraft Movie before saying, "I would have to say Jason Momoa." The actor stars in the film as the character Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison.

"I just saw him like mistreat some of the crew and it was pretty disappointing," Valkyrae went on, before adding, "It was after a pretty intense scene, and it was a very emotional scene. So maybe he was still in character, I don't know."

But she continued recounting the experience, telling the other YouTuber what exactly Momoa allegedly did, "He was just really mad at them, that they weren't doing something right...It was just angry, like really mad, and yelling."

The actress concluded, "I was like, man, this is not a good work environment, I would not be happy working under these conditions."

Fans of Momoa came to his defense online, with one arguing that she shouldn't make a judgment based on one situation: "She saw one moment of frustration and called it a bad working environment."

A similar comment read, "Valkyrae should understand at times one can have a bad day in the office..You can't condem or pass judgement based on that day."

"its called frustration," said another, while a fourth replied, "lol 😂 one small bad episode of anger and that person is a rude person? we all have our bad and stressful moments. jeez."

But there were also plenty of people supporting Valkyrae after her comments, such as someone who said, "Wow, that's really surprising to hear about Jason Momoa! 😮 It's always disappointing when someone you admire doesn't live up to expectations. Thanks for sharing this, Valkyrae."

"If Valkyrae is calling out Jason Momoa I believe her," said another.

While some in the industry have publicly praised Momoa for his kindness, such as his Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke , the actor has been accused of bad on-set behavior while working on Aquaman 2 with Amber Heard , although Variety reported that a DC spokesperson denied the claims.
