The 'Heavenly’ New Bakery Item Costco Shoppers Wish Was Sold at Every Location

No matter what part of the world you live in, if there’s a Costco , you can count on its bakery department to deliver seasonal hits all year long. The only downside—depending on what region you live in—is that some of the treats you see on social media might not actually be available near you. In the case of Costco’s beloved food court, classic regional dishes such as poutine can only be found in Canada, and even traditional “American” eats such as chicken tenders and fries exist solely as a Canadian exclusive.

Being on the forefront of weekly food news, we see countless tasty Costco concoctions come and go with each season. When it comes to regional sweets that break the internet and send people rushing to their local Costco bakeries, it doesn’t get any better than what our Hawaiian neighbors have recently gained access to: Mayorca Suprema Fruit Topped Sweet Rolls .

Anyone who has already tasted the greatness that is a King's Hawaiian dinner roll should know just how exciting this exclusive bakery release actually is. Compared to other rolls, what sets a Hawaiian dinner roll apart from the rest is its flavor. They are made specially with pineapple juice and a little bit of sugar rather than water, giving the fluffy and soft ball of yeast its distinctively sweet taste.

As a Kirkland Signature exclusive, Mayorca Suprema Fruit Topped Sweet Rolls consists of what looks to be 12 Hawaiian rolls baked together to form a circle before being doused with a layer of cream cheese and an additional layer of strawberry jam. The whole treat is then topped off with a frosting drizzle and sold in a 25-ounce container for just $8.99.

As of now, Costco’s Mayorca Suprema Fruit Topped Sweet Roll has only been confirmed to be available at select Hawaii locations, specifically in Maui, according to a helpful fan who took to Reddit to spread news of the release.

“Haven’t seen the sweet rolls posted yet, they are heavenly, 10/10,” wrote the author of the post before going into more detail about the new sweet treat. “Didn’t know this could be a Hawaii exclusive item,” the author of the post continued, “These are amazing, I had 4 rolls already and hope they are not in the store next time I go.”

For now, it seems the only way anyone is going to be able to get their hands on this tasty bakery offering is by booking a flight to Hawaii before the seasonal treat sells out. Here’s hoping we all get surprised in the future with a full-on nationwide rollout because after laying our eyes on this incredibly dangerous snack, we cannot look at a normal bag of King’s Hawaiian rolls the same way ever again.
