Target's Fun and 'Cute' New Novelty Mugs are Just $5, and They're Flying Off Shelves Fast

One thing I can say with full, unfettered confidence is that I’ve never met a mug I didn’t like. It’s true! Who can say no to cutesy ceramic or stoneware cups speckled with strawberries , shaped like a trick-or-treating Jack Skellington or made to look like one of four frightening Halloween icons ? Sure, you may not need a new mug, but what’s one more addition to your already overstuffed cabinet when they’re all so cute?! And it doesn’t help that retailers continually stock their shelves with new and exciting drinking vessels in varying shapes, textures and sizes that would look even better on our breakfast table than they do in-store. You get it.

Regardless, we can never have too many beautifully adorned mugs to drink from, and the main culprit in feeding our mug-loving obsession is none other than the fan-favorite bullseye wonderland known as Target. As if the mega cute, Halloween-ready, foldable reusable tote bags weren’t enough, Target gave us yet another reason to pop in this week. And—you guessed it, bestie—they’re the cutest mugs you could ever dream of.

Self-proclaimed Target superfan @allthingstarget shared a glimpse at an array of novelty mugs by Target’s in-house Room Essentials brand, all priced at just $5, and we’ve already cleared out a second cabinet to store all the adorable food-core options. Included in the collection are mugs shaped like a stack of delicious sprinkled donuts, a round one painted with cherries, a tasty looking cheeseburger stack, one that says, “sip. slay. repeat.” on the interior and a variety of other vibe-y options. If we’re being honest, with all these stunning new mug releases, we’re starting to think that maybe they’re the ones with the problem.

Of course, fans were quick to flood the comments with their stamp of approval, and in an unofficial poll, it looks like the undisputed champion was the one emblazoned with avocado halves. While we couldn’t personally pick a favorite—you know, due to our crippling need to have multiples of every single one—we have to agree with the consensus. Now, if you don’t mind, we’ve got a Target run to make.
