Fans Are 'Complete Again' as Marina Squerciati Shares New Photo Ahead of 'Chicago PD' Premiere

Chicago P.D. fans are feeling happy today, as along with the show's long-awaited return with Season 12 on Sept. 25, cast member Marina Squerciati shared a special behind-the-scenes photo in honor of the season premiere.

The actress, who has played Kim Burgess since Season 1, shared the image with fans on Instagram, writing the giddy message, "We don't normally smile on CPD, but when we do it's PREMIER DAY!!"

In the photo, Squerciati sat on the hood of a car beside Brian Luce , a retired police officer and producer on the show, with cast member Benjamin Levy Aguilar , who plays Dante Torres, on the other side of him. All three smiled at the camera, with Squerciati and Aguilar seeming to be in costume.

Fans immediately shared how excited they were about the show's return and seeing the cast's bright faces.

"Our Wednesdays are complete again with you back ❤️😍," declared one Chicago P.D. fan, while more reacted to the photo, saying, "I love seeing you all smile! Your smiles light up the universe," and "Finally! Oh how I’ve missed my Wednesday Chicago PD nights! Seriously, you guys are that good ⭐️⭐️."

"I am so hyped for this show it is like one my favorite crime shows of all time," said another enthusiastic viewer.

A different fan added, "What a great show! 🔥👏with an even better cast of Talented people! 🙌❤️."

Some fans also mentioned that they are going to miss having Hailey Upton, played by Tracy Spiridakos , on the series, as she left Chicago P.D. after last season.

Luce also took to his Instagram page to share a video that appeared to be taken today while filming a future episode, with both Luce and Aguilar wearing the same clothes as they were in Squerciati's photo. He captioned the clip, "WELCOME all you Chicago PD fans! Season 12 BABY!"

In the video, Luce went around asking the cast and crew, "Who's on tonight?" as everyone got ready for the Chicago P.D. Season 12 premiere. The show will air on NBC at 10 p.m. ET.
