After last week's explosive episode, this week's installment of The Challenge 40 was a quieter affair. Instead, the drama at the forefront is the eternal conflict of the team game versus individual. The pair in power was torn between favoring what their group wanted to do, or proving their loyalty to specific people. And, in the elimination, two champions were sent out the door.

Check out more information about tonight's episode below and find out who was eliminated.

Who was eliminated on The Challenge 40 tonight?

    Brad Fiorenza

Brad was perhaps one of the people taking this season of The Challenge the most seriously. After subpar showings on both Season 39 and All-Stars 4 , he came in ready to prove he was one of the best, especially after being chosen as part of the legendary group of Era 1. Unfortunately, Brad was more successful in the romance department this season, coupling up with Era 2's Emily, than he was in the physical department. When his ailing team lost yet another daily, he was sent into elimination against Cory. And Brad's typical method of going speedy and strong worked against him, as his lack of accuracy staked his game like a ball on a spike.

    Jonna Mannion

Jonna made her return to the MTV version of The Challenge as a completely different person from when she left it. In her time away, she had become one of the most successful participants on All-Stars , racking up back-to-back wins. Unfortunately, Jonna's time away had her coming in without many connections. And when she tried, and failed, to get out of volunteering as a target, it sealed her fate. Winners Josh and Jenny chose to keep their ally Bananas in the game, sending her in against Rachel. And in a battle between the champions, Rachel took away a handy victory.

Who won the daily challenge on The Challenge 40 tonight?

This week's daily tested endurance and caution, as the players worked to transport giant balloons through a hazard-filled course. Though they finished the daily third, Era 4 brought back the most balloons overall, and their "slow and steady" approach gave them the win, making targets Josh and Jenny safe.
