Pink Addresses Recent ‘Rumors’ About Her Hollywood Affiliation With Blunt Statement

Popular singer Pink took to social media to clear up any confusion about ongoing rumors involving her and a possible association with a controversial celebrity.

The situation began when people started wondering if Pink's choice to wipe her X account earlier this year had any connection with Sean "Diddy" Combs ' recent arrest, with some speculating that she was wiping any evidence of association with the rapper.

But Pink wasn't having any of it, taking to Instagram to share a strong statement and clarify the truth of the matter. She shared a photo of her final tweet posted in February, in which she wrote, "This account will self destruct in two minutes. Do it!!!!!!"

"I don’t know why I became a headline this week, but I wiped my Twitter account on February 6!!!" Pink wrote in the caption.

Specifically addressing the recent speculation, she declared, "There is no truth to the rumors spread this week, and while I’ve met people in passing, I’m not associated with any of the people mentioned."

At the time that she cleared her X account, Pink revealed on the radio show Carrie & Tommy that she was receiving death threats and "absolute hatred" from people, leading to her decision to step away.

Along with Pink, Megan Fox was accused of wiping her X account in the aftermath of Diddy's arrest, but she stopped using the platform in 2013 after a short stint on the site.

Usher is another celebrity who fans have accused of clearing their X account after Diddy's arrest, with fans noticing that his account got briefly deleted recently. The singer, who was allegedly in a mentor-mentee relationship with Diddy early on in his career, staying friends with him over the years, responded to the speculation with a message claiming that he got hacked.

On Sept. 22, he took to his restored X account to say , "Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! 😂😂😂 See you tonight at Intuit Dome ✌🏾👀✌🏾." It's unclear if any of his tweets were deleted, or if all were restored along with his account.

Diddy was arrested on Monday, Sept. 16, after a slew of lawsuits and an ongoing investigation.
