Many people think of Fall as a time for football and pumpkin since drinks , but it's also a great time to stay inside and play board games with your family. If you like to get competitive with the ones you love, then you are going to love this new game that is just for adults of legal drinking age . Hasbro just announced the first-ever Monopoly drinking game, made specifically for adults aged 21 and over.
Monopoly was created in 1935 and was sold to Parker Brothers, who popularized it during the Great Depression. It became a global phenomenon and there have been various versions over the years. The game's popularity stems from its engaging, competitive nature and the appeal of building wealth—even if the money is fake. Winning the game comes down to luck, skill and strategy, and the it promotes family bonding and friendly rivalry for loads of fun.
Now, the all-new Monopoly Board Crawl invites players to enjoy their beverage of choice as they navigate a new and exciting Monopoly board. This fun twist on the board game shifts the focus from building hotels to collecting properties through a series of challenges. Like in the original game, players will roll the dice to land on themed spaces, but there is no Park Place here. Instead, you get spaces like Mechanical Bull and Rooftop Bar, each of which presents challenges and opportunities to get you closer to the finish line.
And what exactly is the goal? To collect the most properties while having fun and enjoying drinks.
The original Monopoly game and its many variations were not built around drinking, and that is the biggest difference between them and the new Monopoly Board Crawl. If you want to buy property, pay rent or steal a property, you can settle your debts by taking sips of your drink or taking on a dare. There’s no play money involved!
Unlike regular Monopoly, this is supposed to be a quick game. Each player only has to make it around the board once and while it is structured like a drinking game, you do not have to have an alcoholic drink to play the game. Your drink can have as little or as much alcohol as you want (or none at all), and Hasbro encourages you to play responsibly.
